Attendance: 150s
Highlights: Wayne’s World (Wayne and Garth made a special appearance), NINTENDO NES, Name That Tune (our kids really stink at 90s tunes).

Week 4
Decade: 2000s
Special Music: What I’ve Done by Linkin Park
Attendance: 150s
Highlights: being completely unprepared (staff retreat from Sunday to Wednesday).

God completely comes through when we feel like we have nothing else to give. There was tons of energy tonight, tons of kids, Aubrey did great job speaking about God being in the “garbage business” and we had some worship time at the end and I think God is really doing a work in some of our students.

It’s when we feel completely inadequate and have problems that we, as humans, can’t fix, it totally re-establishes our need for a LIVING God. We can’t put together a service, program, devo, or talk that can change a life. We are completely dependant on the power of God. Not programming, lighting, chairs, giveaways, a worship service. Only God moving in their life and giving someone HOPE.

Jeremiah 29:11 says it all: For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.

Praise be to our God – forever and ever.
